WASH
OWDA's WASH Program is aimed at improving access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene in the Somali region of Ethiopia. We believe that access to clean water and sanitation is essential for good health, and we work to ensure that everyone has access to these basic necessities.
Our WASH Program includes: - Water Supply: We construct water points, including boreholes and wells, to provide clean water to communities. We also repair and maintain existing water points to ensure that they are functioning properly. - Sanitation: We construct latrines and provide hygiene education to improve sanitation in communities. We also promote the use of handwashing stations and provide soap and other hygiene supplies. - Water Treatment: We provide training on water treatment methods to ensure that communities have access to safe and clean drinking water. - Disaster Response: We provide emergency water and sanitation services in the event of a disaster, such as a drought or flood.
